Not a photoshoot. A campaign asset library.

Brenner’s Children needed something different from a standard hospital shoot. The goal wasn’t polished stock-style imagery. It was a versatile, emotionally grounded library — built around actual patients, authentic care interactions, and moments that make donor impact tangible.

The assets needed to hold up across print pieces, the website, landing pages, hot sheets, and broader fundraising materials — while staying cohesive across departments and use cases. Generic hospital imagery wouldn’t cut it. This had to feel unmistakably like Brenner’s, and unmistakably like Winston-Salem.

The creative brief was specific: NICU moments, child life interactions, wheelchair and mobility support, ringing the bell, family-centered care, and imagery that made every gift feel like it led to something real and visible.

Produced for a sensitive environment. Directed toward a fundraising outcome.

Sensitive, real-world hospital production with actual patients requires a different kind of day. Patient coordination, permissions, scheduling around physician leaders and nursing staff, real-time creative scouting — the logistics of a shoot like this don’t run themselves.

Turnstone came in with pre-shoot planning already done: shot list refined against the discovery call, use-case alignment confirmed, and creative guardrails established before a camera was picked up. On shoot day, the producer was free to move between patients, families, and care teams — shaping direction in real time rather than being locked into managing equipment.

The capture strategy was built for long-term library use: vertical and horizontal compositions, multiple crops, varied perspectives from patient, provider, and family viewpoints. Every setup asked two questions — does this feel real, and will this be usable across contexts for the next several years?

The work, in motion.

A library built to serve Brenner’s for years.

Brenner’s received a fully organized, campaign-ready asset library — photo and video — covering NICU, child life, ED, inpatient, and exterior. Assets were delivered organized for immediate use across print, web, landing pages, and donor communications.

The delivery came back quickly. The client’s own words: the images and video genuinely capture what makes Brenner’s Children special — and the work will serve them for a long time.

★★★★★
Turnstone was outstanding. I was not the one coordinating the shoot, but I was around for much of it, and what I saw was a team that knew exactly what they were doing. They helped us map out the photo and video concepts up front, then stayed patient through the scheduling puzzle of working around physician leaders, patients and families, and nursing staff. The delivery came back quickly, and the images and video genuinely capture what makes our children’s hospital special. This work will serve us for a long time. Highly recommend.
